Lion and Wildlife Interaction
Animal interaction tour at a nearby private game reserve where you can add a variety of wildlife experiences to your holiday – walking with young lions at a conservation area, or the thrill of feeding an adult lion up close and feed the baby cubs.
The once-in-a-life-time walk on the wild side is a highlight of the tour. The lions love to stop for a cuddle or splash in the water. There are no leashes or restraints – the animals are free to play naturally and they love to show off, so don’t forget your camera! (Please note: There is an age and size limit of medium sized 11 years as the lions are wild)
These lions are part of a conservation project where they are especially bred for their unique genes and are released into game reserves once they are old enough to increase the gene pool of wild lions and ensure the survival of a healthy species. If you wanted to know more about this project please see our blog post
You will get to meet the Serval cats which are a Spotted African Wildcat who used to be on the endangered list but thanks to conservationists such as this lodge they hare now off the list
You will also get to meet other wildlife and any orphans they are raising for release
